Letters To The Past illustrates the loss of my Nana in 2018. This mixed-media piece uses letters I wrote to my Nana but never got to share with her. My connection feels distant with her now that I don't have her as a physical presence, but the blossoming nature of her soul remains bright. Letters To The Past is a mixed-media study that explores materiality through painting, collage, and depth perception. This experimental piece uses collected letters as a modality to invite viewers to hold onto fleeting moments.
