Al Dettmann (they/them) is the artist and owner of Dettmann Designs, a Brooklyn-based creative textile studio. Raised in Maine, they have always been a creative spirit who loves exploring the natural environment and connecting with creative communities around the world. Earning their BFA in Fibers from Savannah College of Art and Design, they have collaborated with Target, Toad & CO., SCAD, The Belted Cow Company, NYPL, & more!

They are on their latest adventure, growing their studio practice while sharing their love of color, hand-painted textures, and patchwork surfaces. Across all their work, their greatest passion is to uplift queer voices through art & design and create wonders that inspire us all to live our messy lives beautifully, boldly, and authentically.
