Join Al Dettmann, of Dettmann Designs, to explore the world of bundle dyeing. Participants will use flower and plant materials to create colors and textures on fabric. They will learn about natural dyeing processes by placing plant materials on fabric, rolling it up, bundling it, and steaming the fabric. Participants will go home with naturally dyed silk bandanas & scarves from the 3-hour hands-on workshop!
In this course, students will explore more complex piecing, sewing, planning, and measuring to create quilt blocks. Students will create compositions using quilt blocks and patchwork structures using color, shape, line, and texture. Students will learn finishing techniques including appliqué, couching, and free-motion embroidery. This class will teach additional techniques and skills to grow your quilting toolbox!
