“...and then their colors came out” explores the various identities we hold. Much like patchwork, we hold parts of ourselves that are both broken and whole. From gender to sexuality, we all experience a journey of figuring out who our most authentic self is. Despite violence towards trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals, this piece acknowledges these realities while uplifting queer voices. Areas may show erasure or bleeding, yet, they are mended together to create a bigger part of a more beautiful whole.
